Still no hits on the feeders, shoooot! They have exhausted the bee balm and twist plant. I am trying to be patience but I dont want em to leave, darn it. |

I *had* some Lucifer Crocosmia but they tore that to shreads too. Do I look up what attracts hummingbirds (flowers) on google? Im willing to try what I can. |

Around here they also love some annuals I have planted in containers: Cuphea Ignea Orange-Cigar Plant Eccremocarpus scaber-Chilean Glory Vine Fuschias Lantana I have tucked some colorful perennials in the beds just for the hummers as well: Lobelia laxiflora-Mexican Lobelia or Mexical Cardinal Flower Penstemon eatonii-Firecracker Salvia x jamensis 'Hot Lips' Salvia splendens-Red Salvia Enjoy~Andrea |

We are at the end of August and that is when we start seeing hummers bomb our feeders, here. I have 4 ( I think-they're too dang fast!), and maybe 5. I have one or two in my yard year round, but when we see several, they are starting migration! And they are AGRESSIVE!! They get chest to chest and fly up about 15 feet above the house and just a chattering! No pictures yet, but hopefully I will later! |

Our hummers will be gone in about a week. I saw one in a hovering an orange nasturium hanging on my front porch this morning. That was a surprise to me! Of course, I didn't get a picture, but I saw it through my lace curtains. Beautiful vision. |
