Do you have any Crocosmia, Cougar? They seem to LOVE it more than the feeders around here! ~Andrea

Around here they also love some annuals I have planted in containers:

Cuphea Ignea Orange-Cigar Plant
Eccremocarpus scaber-Chilean Glory Vine
Fuschias
Lantana

I have tucked some colorful perennials in the beds just for the hummers as well:

Lobelia laxiflora-Mexican Lobelia or Mexical Cardinal Flower
Penstemon eatonii-Firecracker
Salvia x jamensis 'Hot Lips'
Salvia splendens-Red Salvia

Enjoy~Andrea

We are at the end of August and that is when we start seeing hummers bomb our feeders, here. I have 4 ( I think-they're too dang fast!), and maybe 5. I have one or two in my yard year round, but when we see several, they are starting migration! And they are AGRESSIVE!! They get chest to chest and fly up about 15 feet above the house and just a chattering! No pictures yet, but hopefully I will later!

Our hummers will be gone in about a week. I saw one in a hovering an orange nasturium hanging on my front porch this morning. That was a surprise to me! Of course, I didn't get a picture, but I saw it through my lace curtains. Beautiful vision.
