We are finally seeing our hummers on a daily basis. One at a time for now. Guess those babie are keeping their parents busy.

These cooler than normal temps are not helping.

Got my new Birds and Blooms mag yesterday. It features Hummers. If you don't get it, buy one this month, it is worth it.

I feel your pain FG! I saw two males as I was walking up to my door earlier this week, but that's it so far. They are just not around much yet.

We are seeing the hummers on a regular basis now. I think they may be feeding their babies as they are sure on the run. Hopefully it won't be long now before they come a a family. What fun.

we have had hummers since February around here, but those were mostly scouts I think. I keep feeders out year round but at this time of year we have 27 feeders out. Everyday I need to refill at least 15 of them. I also have to watch where I stand on the patio

I must have been seeing things when I thought I saw two in March. I haven't seen nary a one since. I keep my feeders cleaned and changed out.

I agree! Where did they go? All the mimosa trees are covered in blooms. They love those. No hummers. My bee balm is blooming better than ever before and no hummers. The oregano and poliomentha is blooming. No hummers. What the heck happened? I was hoping to see the babies by now.

I have been seeing one female regularly at my porch feeder, but no males. Of course, I'm not around here much during the day.... Witt, I've never seen (or recognized that I was seeing) offspring - how would you know they were youngsters, by size?

No, it's really just an assumption. When you only have 2 pairs hanging around and then suddenly you have about ten, then we assume those are the babies.

I am so excited. Sitting at the table yesterday, there was a hummingbird, darting in an out over the bee balm. I finally saw one, yippee! There are not going to my feeders at all tho. Should I move the feeders back there where I know their going now?
