Almost three weeks ago, I started some cuttings in water of the Syngonium podophyllum Nephthytis Pink Allusion. I literally pinched them off. I didn't use scissors or pruners. There are four cuttings, each one in its own little bud vase of water. So far not a sign of a root. Could the problem be that I pinched it off? Could it be that I'm too impatient and three weeks isn't long enough for it to grow its roots? Should I go back and clip off the ends again and put them back into water? Should I just pot them up in potting soil? The leaf on each one looks perfectly healthy, no wilting or signs of stress. I was so hoping that I could have more of this wonderful plant going by now. |

Man it is hard to find much info on propagating this plant. I found this site that has a really nice photo. Is this your Arrowhead Vine? http://www.killerplants.com/plant-of-the-week/2003 1117.asp |

Do you have a 'node' or 'joint' in the water? I think that's where the roots will grow from -it's raining now, I'll go take a look at my green one. |

The pink arrowhead vine doesn't have nodes. It is just a plain stem with a leaf on top. Oh, well, it's been about four days without much help and still no roots. Hmmmm. Thanks. |
