Hi Jeff I noticed your post and that no one answered so I'll give it try, I'm not familiar with that kind of system but there is a strawberry farm here that grows strawberries with a hydroponics system, their system is very expensive though and costs over $300. for 1 hydroponics tower that holds 20 plants. The strawberries were big and beautiful but they were not sweet and had very little flavor, they grow them in a soil-less mix of peat and perlite and there's a pump attached to a hose with emitters that constantly water and feed the plants with a liquid fertilizer. I've come up with a similar virgin of it made out of pots, I'm still trying to perfect it but it's a lot less than $300 bucks. I hope I've helped and if you get one of those systems, best of luck to you. floridagirl. |

Just out of curiosity, what is "DWC". I've grown tomatoes in a hydroponic system I built out of 6" pvc, a timer and a pond pump. I would think strawberries in rockwool or vermiculite and set into the "grow tube", would grow just as well. Fritz |
