I have several Irises, and this is the first year they have bloomed. These three are the only ones that are standing. The rest have all fallen over. How can I make them stand up and be pretty? There are several colors, but I like the blue one the most. It stands out among the purple ones. John Attachments: ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hi John, I know what you mean about them falling over. I don't have much of a solution but through the years I have gathered all sorts of metal props for top heavy plants. My Iris were so pretty this year but I had to either 'prop' them up or put one of those metal rings around them that are made especially for propping big plants up. |

Those are beautiful! I love all the colors. I am not picky when it comes to iris. I have the same problem. Some of my bearded are so huge that they just can't hold those heavy heads up. Gently tie the stalk to a stake. That's the only way I know. |

Nice iris John but those are from the thirtys, have you considered trying some of the new types as they are twice as big as your blooms. The best way to keep them upright is to stake them with bamboo poles. Bill Attachments: ![]() |
