Would any of you be interested in a May day swap? Now that we all have our gardens coming up and the flowers and plants are no longer under snow and ice I though it might be fun to do a plant/cuttings swap.

What I would do is afer I get the list of people who want to participate i will partner you off and you would exchange with that person.

If we have an interest then i will set a deadline for signing up of May 15...on the 16th i would assign partners and we will be required to get all packages in the mail by May 31.

Each person would be required to sent their partner at least 4-5 differant plants/cuttings/bulbs. If you send cutting please make sure it is a combination of plants and cuttings that way no one gets stuck with just cuttings.

When you sign up I need you to give me your zone so that when i partner you i can do my best to match your zones.

I thought this would be a fun little suprise to bring us a little closer to summer

well I thought that possibly it would not generate a LOT of interest but I did not think it would have no interest. LOL

RR ~ I don't think it's due to NO interest ~ you had over 70 views after all. For me, it sounds like great fun, but I just don't have the time. Plus we have had SO much rain (and more to come) that I can't help but think everything would be rotten once it arrived, it's so full of water. Plus not every plant can be propagated from cuttings and shipping is high. With Mother's Day this weekend, many people have to concentrate on sending gifts ~ I have two to pack and ship myself.
That's all I can think of that may be deterring people from your idea. I think it's a good one, but maybe the timing is off a bit.

Are these to be mature perennials? Can we make wish lists (not that they have to be met but to give an idea interests ie... zone, color, size, shade vs sun etc.)? I hate to send someone a bunch of shade lovers if all they have is full sun or all yellow flowers if they prefer blue etc. That would be disappointing.

I could do it with a little more info.
