I just bought a house south of the Georgian Bay in Ontario. I need to know what hedges to buy for a "full sun" privacy fence. I want to plant them over a rocky surface where "hawthorns" used to live, lol. I'm curious if "amur maples" would be a good idea for this area. From what I've read, they dont attract bugs and grow quite fast. We have very harsh winters up here, so I need something tough.
