I need a ground cover for the side of my house which slopes down and is mostly in the sun. All that grows there now are weeds and a lot of it is bare. I need to make it look pretty!!!

How about the sweet potatoe vines? There is the lemon lime color, and the purple and they look real nice together!

How tall a plant are you looking for? I'm really into the great growing, bee attractors right now and white clover would suit your area and add a hardy, green. If you keep it mowed, you wouldn't necessarily have the bees. Mine aren't that bad here, but they are fun to watch and probably are part of the reason for my successful apple crop last year. If it's just an easy care plant you want I'd suggest it.

I have lamium that gets full sun in the late morning and all afternoon that does well. It spreads, too. And you could intersperse a few stella d'oro's or other plants amoung them for added color. They don't mind being manhandled a bit either so once they get going if you decided to dig a few holes in their midst they're forgiving. The don't require a lot of watering either.
