Ok , I know , I love Raised Beds, but I'm going to plant two rows 3' wide by 24' long with Peanuts,Seed Spacing using my 6" wire grid. I will add 4 (big Wheel Barrow) tubs of Horse Poo & Leaves(the year old stuff) 8 oz 6-6-6 (ok cheating here) fertilizer, tiller that stuff in , Give it a good raking, place landscaping timbers around them(I know I've heard all about the Bad Wood Talk "Poison", all I can say to that is give me a break, read the Labels in the local Grocery Store "Thats Poison"),Mulch with horse poo 2" deep and cover with oak leaves.

My corn this year is embarrassing, I planted to early the nights were too cold and dry, those babies got cold and They never really took off, I'm going to replant at ground level too. Knowing this late in the season here, "Welcome to Bug Hell" and I ant a kidding. GT

If your soil is really "loose," which I'm sure yours is, the peanuts will love it. I'd love them, too! Nothing like boiled peanuts in the summer!

Hey I added a Picture to the original post, this bed is about 16" deep, I took the tiller to the existing soil and worked it over good, then added Poo and tillered it again raising it soil to this level (as seen in picture), the oak leaves are 2"-3" deep. GT.
