I have a question...what exactly is "organic seeds"? I thought about buying some Burpee organic seeds for my vegetable garden this year but I'm totally in the dark. Can I save seeds and plant them next year-will they grow and produce? This is all a new venue for me and I would appreciate any tips and advice!!!!

This is my understanding of organic seeds. avoiding man-made chemical fertilizers and pesticides in growing the plants the seed was taken from.. I know thats not the whole story of organic seeds but its a short version. Some folks will not even grow hybrids because its a man made cross but ever seed we plant was at one time a hybrid.I'm not 100 % organic because i use a man made product to avoid early and late blight but i try to avoid treated seeds.
