My little garden. I am way behind this year. But I have been fixing flower beds , replacing mulch, transplanting trees. You name it, it seems. And now it is suppose to rain tomorrow evening and all week-end. Then they said rain next week also. My garden will just have to wait.

I envy your tiller. All my beds are done the old fashion way, with a shovel aughhh |

Girl... you need to invest in a tiller. One of my gifts from my hubby. He hates to garden. But he helped me yesterday set out my tomatoes. So I could get them in the ground before it came a flood. Get you a tiller, you'll love it. I just made 2 new flower beds. Now that I have it my hubby can go fishing and not have to help...LOL He said it was one of the best gifts he ever gave me...LOL I knew there was a motive behind it. But thats ok. Tell your hubby you need a tiller. Happy Gardening... Reba |

Reba your garden looks good! If anyone asks about your crooked rows just tell them you're in to "abstract planting"! Chris |

I have planted 19 tomatoes, but windy broke 3 off. And the ground has been too wet to do anything else. Today I tilled 3 rounds to help it to dry out some. But it is just making a clots. I have some squash and cucumber & bell pepper plants to set out. When I got my tomato plants in ground it looked like I was drunk when planting...LOL But I promise I was not. Happy Gardening...Reba |

This is what my garden looks like April/2010. Getting going...Finally! First-the whole thing-two 8 x 8 sort-of raised beds, with 2 tomatoes and 2 eggplants in large pots/tubs-One of the tomato plants (see the blooms starting?), and one zuchinni! In the far back bed I have 3 cucumber plants and a row of snap beans. Sunflowers are about a foot tall, too! Attachments: ![]() ![]() ![]() |
