We've had a garden for many years and have grown many things. We usually eat what we can and give a lot away. This year I'd like to save as much as I can. I went to get some fresh cilantro from my garden for my black bean with cilantro and jalapeno recipe and ended up picking a bunch! If I rinse and place in a freezer bag, will it ruin the cilantro??? I have not read much on freezing cilantro. Thanks for any advice you can pass my way!

It should freeze fine. The quality may not be perfect, but just for flavoring, it should work. Just try to not have air in your freezer bag. Use a pump thing.

Why not just dry it? You just have to hang it somewhere untill it's dried (I do it in my garage in the summer and in the basement in the winter).

I believe that it would lose more of its flavor dried as opposed to frozen.
