Help! For the last two years, cucumber beetles have destroyed my cukes and cantaloupes. The vines all died off overnight. I have a bit of Sevin left. It, along with numerous other insecticides, is no longer available to anyone but farmers (who must be trained in its use) in Ontario. I used it last year without success, but perhaps not frequently enough. I have since read that it must be sprayed at the base of the new plants as soon as they pop through the soil. Will try that this summer, but if anyone has a better idea, I'd be happy to try it. |
