I've built some hanging pots for my porch. It gets zero direct sunlight. So far the only thing that's fourished is Impatients. Any ideas for an annual that flowers in the shade? |

Here is a list that sassmuffin put in the Annuals thread: aquilegia, astilbe, foxglove, hellborrous, anemone, ferns, hostas, bleeding hearts, coral bells, columbines, lamium, begonias, fushias, coleus, polka dot plants. |

For a hanging pot how about a variety of sweet potato vine? They don't flower but come in bright yellow-green, black, or a variegated green-white-purple. They drape down and would be a nice mix with the impatiens. You might also try annual lobelia - they normally want some sun but might do ok. |

Begonias are wonderful bloomers in hanging pots and there are so many wonderful varieties. |
