Destglo,
Moles operate by vibration sense and they would probably tunnel down to avoid what ever is causing all the commotion - rendering the roller theary not so good. However, they might just freeze (like they do when we come near them) and get splatted. I would venture to guess that it's a wasted cause, though. Lots of people around here roll their yards and I still see mole trails in their yard shortly thereafter.

My mole (?) problem has gotten worse. I got the darn thing in my backyard now! I see a lot of holes. I dig down to try and find where they go but there's nothing there. It's like it dead ends 6" into the ground. Hmmm?

There is some good news on the horizon...my neighbor is giving me a ton of fill dirt and we are having it skiploaded (sp?) in. Maybe that will disrupt the dang thing. I'm hoping to plant a pumpkin patch for my grandkids, but it will be pointless if this dang thing is going to eat it. Aaaaggghhh!

Right with the roller idea. My husband rolls our yard just to try to smooth it out some. It doesn't faze the moles at all. My daughter has a yellow lab and no mole problem at all. She digs them up and kills them.

Ok i know that if you fill in the holes with used cat litter the moles dont like the smell of there natural perditor so close to home and often will abandon a location with cats. I would sugest calling a local shelter and ask for used cat litter and fill in those holes. Also Bounce dryer sheets have Oleander in them which is a natural repellent of both gophers and moles.Just shove a few sheets in the holes and fill them in with dirt. Coffee grounds also work and fertilizes your lawn as well.
My grand mother used to soak tampons in Ammonia, insert them into the tunnels and then fill them in with dirt. She swore it worked like a charm. If all else fails place a portable raido inside a plastic bag, turn it on and seal the bag. Place it at the enterance of the tunnles and the sound will drive them out. Its not as effective as some of the others but does work over time. I hope that helps.
