What is the scoop on companion planting? Does it work? Can you list who like whom and who dislikes whom?

here are a couple of sites
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_companion_pla nts
http://www.attra.org/attra-pub/complant.html#chart
http://myveggiegarden.freeservers.com/companion_pl anting.htm
There are also quite a few good books, my favorite is "great garden companions"
That should give you enough to get you going/ also do searches under Three sisters gardening.

Hope this helps

I am doing some companion planting this year. Don't know if it will work but its worth a try. Are you asking how to do it or if it works?

I know this is old...but the best book I've used is called "Carrots Love Tomatoes". I've been doing Companion gardending for 6 years....and for the most part, I've kept the bunnies, squirrels and deer out of the garden...and most everything produces really well w/o the aid of "chemicals".

Good Luck!

Soaphouse did companion planting last year and shared all the layout, photos, etc in her blogs. I think you would find her experience very interesting. Plus she's a wonderful photographer. ~Andrea

Report on my companion planting last year. It did well. The only bug problem I had was with my zuchinni. But in the same area I had tomatoes, cucumber, garlic and onion. Those had no bug problems at all.
