Boil the can in water for 3 hours ( a low boil). When you open the can, the milk will have turned to caramel. Pour it in a graham cracker pie crust and cover with Cool whip. Delish!!!!! |

caramel???? wow gotta try that one...I love sweetened condensed milk..no really I do I am banned from it however. .I will eat it straight from the can.. that can't be good for you ...so they don't let me have any cept at christmas cause I make fudge all kinds with it.

When I worked in a restaurant type kitchen, the head cook used to just leave the can of sweetened condensed right over the pilot on the flattop of the grill all day and it would turn to caramel. You could probably do that in certain types of residential gas stoves, too. |
