Just wondering if anyone has ever tried growing the seeds they find in apples? I saved some this winter and put them in the freezer. Has anyone tried this before? If so was it successful? |

I have thought about doing that too. But seed grown apple trees take 6-10 years to produce fruit, whereas, grafted apple trees can bear fruit in 2-4 years. I decided that with the limited sunny space that I have, it just wouldn't be worth it. It might be fun, though, to do it with your kids, or if you have a lot of sunny land, or if you don't mind waiting. |
