People live in houses, codos and apartments. Where do you garden?

We live in a house and do all our gardening in the ground. I do have a few things in pots, but that mostly for "pretty." We have twenty-two places to garden.

The Poison Garden
The Butterfly Garden
The Hibiscus Garden
The Old Gourd Garden
The First Natural Area
The Second Natural Area
The Quarter Round
The Front Flower Bed
The Herb Garden
The St. John's Garden
The New Daffodil Bed
Aunt Winnie's Garden
The Cement Garden
The Rock Garden
The Beach
The Potting Shed Bed
The Back Forty
The Outhouse Bed
The Back Flower Bed
The Gourd Garden

You forgot basement. My garden is in my basement. I have a few zucchini plants, tomato plants, and beans growing down there. I just started a watermelon too.

You're right! A lot of folks garden in the basement and do their seed-starting there, too! Welcome to Garden Guides. I hope to see you around in the forums.

I live in a second story apartment and do all of my gardening in pots. I am enjoying that there isn't any tilling or large-scale soil supplementation necessary, but I kindof miss that stuff. Pests also are't as much of a problem, but last year I had a really hard time getting anything to pollenate because none of the bees thought to look upstairs. Hopefully better luck this year

I'm in zone 2b (Sunset Western Garden Book), and I'm a novice, but trying to become more experienced. I've only planted a few edible things in my front yard (pumpkins & corn), and I've planted Penstemon (didn't make it), Indian Hawthorne, Dusty Miller (didn't make it), Hydrangea, Spotted Dead Nettle, and Heuchera. I hope to plant more this year.

Gardening is fun whether one does it on a balcony or rooftop. It acts as a therapy and calms the mind, keeping stress at bay.

AMEN, to that! It is my therapy.
