I was wondering how to propigate this cactus. I have no idea what kind it is. It is around 15 years old. It is 2' tall on the main shoot, then the top got cut off in the patio door and it grew another section off that, and it is about 1' tall. Then it grew that section you see in the photo attached. Also the main part of the cacti has turned that hard scaily brown. Its hard, not mushy, mouldy or anything like that. It has also grown those werid root looking things. I was wondering how to propigate this. It is an indoor cacti as well. Attachments: ![]() |

Since that little "arm" is growing roots, I'd cut that off and pot it. It is possible the older plant will grow another arm. |

Use good heavy leather gloves when doing it.
