patchy tomatoes.

what causes my tomatoes to have a patch of thinner skin that does not ripen like the rest of the tomato?

Where on the tomato are the spots? It could be sunburn.

yes you could be right near the top, it just wont ripen, the rest of the tomatoe has ripened

If its at the stem end, i wouldn't worry too much about it, a lot of tomatoes do that and its still eatable.

thank you, it is, and its only the odd few not all of them, i just cut that bit off and they are very tasty,
