Maybe you could toss some corn on the ground away from the trees. My mom puts corn on the cob out for the squirrels and they pretty much stay out of everything but the nut trees. It might depend on the type of squirrel, too. Most of ours are fox squirrels. They're tree dwellers.

I have no clue what squirrels we have.
UPDATE: the CD's seem to not be working and keep blowing off, tied them at least 10 times back on there..oh well.
I will have hubby put squirrel feeders on either end of the fruit tree garden so they wont go in to it, hopefully.
Caught the little bugger climbing into and taking my little nectarines. I will not let some squirrels stress me out over it.. can you tell..LOL

Here is a pic of my pear tree and nectarine. The bird that has nested in my plum tree got ahold of that one.. . Peach tree is too high for me to get up in it.
