Hello All
I'm including "Before" (which includes a couple of sowing pics) and "After" pictures. The "Before" were taken at the end of April. The "After" were taken between the end of August and the beginning of September.
You'll also notice that DH got us a brand new fence where there was just a chain link fence that was there when we bought the house.
One of the garden pictures near the end almost looks like there is nothing in it...but it's a row of 5 Honeysuckles (3 'John Clayton' and 2 'Blanch Sandman'). They should really be taking off this Spring...I can't wait!
And in March of last year I sowed 350-400 seedlings. Not to bad for a 1st time gardener...boy...the labor involved was intense! I thought I'd never finish...
Seeing the end result made it all worthwhile...
Oh, before I forget...if you're wondering what that branch is being held up by a metal trellis for in the last pic (it's behind the chair)...it so the Hummingbirds had something to perch on in our yard since we have no trees. They also loved to perch on the 'Tithonia Torch' Mexican Sunflowers in the garden too...

What a great job. I wish more of our members would post before and after photos. It is fun to see our garden plans come to fruition. LB

Palmettogal,
Bless your heart...Thanks! You made my day
This year I'm planning a garden along our new fence...or at least an "area" with mainly several new host plants/bushes for the butterflies. I"m chomping at the bit to get started...LOL
BTW, you're a hoot! I enjoyed reading your profile and seeing all your pics!

You did a wonderful job. Awesome transformation! Lots of very hard work but well worth it. Can't wait to see the next project. I like the before and after pics. Here's a before and after pic of my perennial-herb garden. When we moved there, the yard had a single peony bush in the middle of the yard. It looked pretty funny so I just started planting around it.

Hello Patty

Your pics are Fab!!! I love the concept of several gardens in a circle with the birdbath in the center...just lovely. I can see all the labor you put into them...
Thanks for adding to the thread and sharing

Hi, Thank you. It orginally looked like butterfly wings but things got huge and I had to add more. You know how that goes. Patty
