My dwarf cavendish banana tree is flowering! These pics are from yesterday morning. You can see some bananas peeking through in the pics, but every day they will come out more and more. Today I could clearly see about 10 of them.  These pics are from two sides of the flower. Attachments:   |

Not all banana trees produce fruits. You have to figure out what type of banana tree it is. Hi, my banana trees are those tropical dwarf ones, they're only supposed to get 4 to 6 ft tall and produce in 2 years. The cold snaps that we've been having may be the cause of it, maybe a little more TLC will help. hangin out floridagirl. |

Here is the requested update. Now I'm just waiting for them to plump up to start picking some off. I believe the tiny ones on the bottom are inedible, but there seems to be about 100 edible bananas there!

Damethod: from the time you first saw the stalk and flower emerge, how long did it take until you got the last pic where you have all of the green bananas. My tree started about 2 weeks ago but it is sending out flowers and some little bananas showing. |
