Prunus x cistena Purpleleaf Sand Cherry This thick-growing, long-lived shrub is called the Purple Leaf Sand Cherry. Sometimes called Purple leaf Plum although the actual purple leaf plum is a tree (Prunus Cerasifera). However, this can also be trained as a small tree if desired. |

Thank you t2b. I must say after I looked at yours, I felt a little better. Only because they kinda look the same. I thought mine was slow growing and spindly, and I always thought to take it out because of the slow growth stuff. Anyway t2b, you are very thorough and that is appreciated.

Wow looking through this entire thread amazing and beautiful! I haven't got much blooming in my yard yet but things are really budding so it won't be long. I thought I would share some pictures of Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden in Portland, Oregon. I was there last weekend and it's so beautiful! I wish it was my garden! Enjoy! Silly me! I thought I took a few snapshots of my garden this spring. I was so excitted to see the blooms on my camellias. I planted them from babies in four inch pots 2 years, maybe 3 years ago and finally they are blooming and filling in. I hoping they will make a nice hedge between our yard and our neighbors. My tulips and daffy's did not do too well this year, time to dig 'em up and replant for next season. Later the rhodie will be blooming and my hydrangias too, the lavender is just now budding and my roses are in bud to, yay! Enjoy! ~Kate Attachments: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
