Son, who is keeping our pineapple plant that we rooted in his solarium, is worried that it may be pot bound. He says that it is about a foot tall now. When he waters it, he says that it takes a long time for the water to seep in. He's concerned that it might be rootbound. Should he repot it one size up, or do they want to be crowded? We don't want to lose it now.

Witt, I repotted mine when it was about a foot tall, and it was root bound. I don't know if they like that or not. I potted it in a 18 inch pot, and it seems to be doing ok. I should have a baby pineapple this next spring. It is huge.

Oh, wow. That looks great. I'll show my son this picture the next time he comes over!
I'll tell him to repot it. Thanks loads for the reply!
