My snake plant was growing very nicely over the summer but around October, I noticed the tip of one of the leaves started turning brown and became very dry. I have read so much about these plants; some say water regulary, some say water a little bit, like once a month. I live in Maryland where the summers are hot (90-100 degrees) and the winters are cold (20-40 degrees). The plant sits near the window where it gets indirect sunlight. The other leaves have not been affected yet. What can I do to prevent the other leaves from turning brown? Attachments: ![]() |

Snake plants can take lots of abuse-over water, underwater, dark corners. The tips turning brown indicate that it is not getting enough water. Just trim the brown off with scissors, and water more often. It may be root bound, and cannot pull enough water into its system. You light situation sounds ok. |
