Many of my plants are in bloom as of today, Nov. 24th. My mandevillas are still in bloom, as well as Lady Lavendar passionflowers, several angel trumpets, plumbago, and yellow Apostle Irises. Sooo, I decided to fertilize most of my plants today would you believe.

I sometimes *itch about New Orleans weather but I have to say that is pretty cool to have blooms late in November.

Who else is fertilizing now?

The only plants I am fertilizing now are what's in my vegetable garden, and my pansies and petunias. The rest are starting to die back, and I don't want to encourage new growth that will freeze on the plant, and possibly damage it. HOWEVER-it's hard to hurt plumbago & angel trumpets come back from the ground, so if you're comfortable with it-go ahead!

Funny that you should mention that, pink.

I was looking at my pink arrowhead plant and wondering if she should have some fertilizer, but I decided not to because she is looking wonderful. Considering how quickly I usually kill houseplants, I am thrilled with this one. Even Hubby commented on how pretty it is. I may wait till next spring before I do a thing to it. I wish that I knew how to propagate it.

Thanks for your input Carolyn. Actually I did not fertilize my mandies but did fertilize my passionflowers and potted angel trumpets. One potted brug is just finishing a three bloom show.

witt, have you taken your arrowhead in yet? Mine is still outside but will come in once we have steady cold nights.

Oh, yes! We have had weeks of nights in the 20's. Very unusual for us. I put her on the kitchen window sill and she is looking very well. At least I haven't killed her yet. I just love that plant.

witt, would love to see a recent picture of your arrowhead. I'm not sure how to propagate either. Mine is still holding on outside. Monday we may have temps down to 32 so I think I will take her in Sunday. Not sure whether to leave her inside once I take her in or not. Our weather is so screwy here, some days 70's some days 60's, nights are from 50's to 60's but we have had a few in the 40's and I have left her out. Suggestions, and let's see your beauty please?

Well, you know that I'm not much of a photographer, but I'll give it a try.

And guess what? I looked at her this morning and she's shooting up another leaf. You are supposed to be able to root it in water. When I get enough leaves on it, I'm going to give it a try. I'd like to have a gazillion of them!

Oh goody, can't wait to see a pic of your arrowhead, give it a try witt. Glad you are able to root these plants, hope you are successful. BTW - Yesterday I brought mine inside. It is now sitting on my inside window ledge.

Well, here she is. She is beautiful to me!

I'm going to put another shot of her in the Houseplant section under the thread "Pink Arrowhead" so that I can compare how much she's grown.

Oh wow, witt, she is beautiful! You did great on the shot too!

Glad you added your pic to your pink arrowhead thread. I'll go to it and ad my recent pic of my little arrowhead since I brought her inside.
