Hi everybody! I'm new to this forum, I'm pretty new to gardening, and I'm new to my house (which has a nice big yard!). I've lived in apartments for so long, and now I finally have the opportunity to start my own garden. Going to be growing veggies this year! I'm a strong supporter of subsistence farming, especially in urban communities like mine. Any tips or links to good resources on this are welcome! Any other Northern U.S. or Wisconsin folks out there? I find that a lot of general gardening advice is geared towards people who live in warmer areas. Any advice on gardening in this cold, fickle climate? Thanks! `Sunuwavi |

Welcome to Garden Guides. There is nothing more exciting than a blank slate to a gardener. Look around at the different forums where you can post specific questions. There are quite a few "cold area" gardeners here at GG. I hope that you learn a lot and have fun. |
