I am an avid user of led grow lights and would like to know if anyone else uses them. Im currently growing tomatos and wheatgrass and peppers with mine and also a few different flowers and ornamentals..... Lemme know what your using!!I would like to share about my wheatgrass. After learning about the wheatgrass and its medicinal properties I decided to give it a shot and see how my leds did with this task. I went a bought the reccomended flats and the wheatgrass and germed my seeds. I had asked 2 different wheatgrass growers what to expect for growing time and a "usable tray" of the grass. Each response was the same....."8 to 14 days" So.....this being my second grow....ill share the results from my most current. The wheatgrass started to sprout on Friday evening...the24th...and measuring today.....with 2 full days growing....im at the 4.5 to 5 inch mark. My last grow resulted in the same growth.......3 full trays....in 14 days....not one( i cut the trays down every three days to one inch on my first grow) To say the least.....and my neighbors were witness.....you can almost watch it grow....hahaha! I love my leds.....i really do

Mr. LED - I have been using LED grow lights for about six months now and I'm also convinced that these are the grow lights of the future. We have successfully grown AND consumed chili peppers, green peppers, tomatoes, and several types of lettuce (I definitely have to try the wheat grass thing) My wife uses a GlowPanel 45 for her orchids and she says they bloom fuller and last longer than any other artificial light she has ever used. Same with her african violets. Considering both are sensitive to heat it's no wonder they flourish under the LEDs. I replaced a 600w HPS with a GrowUFO and bought my wife a GlowPanel 45. Both came from Sunshine Systems (www.sunshine-systems.com) and work great - no heat and very little energy used. I definitely recommend these lights. GrowGuy |
