The garden continues to evolve. Right now, it's turning into gardenettes....within a larger space. Right now, we are trying to fight erosion. When it rains, our dirt moves to the patio. Right now, I am leaning toward creeping thyme. Our garden area is roughly 120 square feet. Does anyone have a good guess about how many plants I'd need? Or....does anyone have a better idea? Thanks for the feedback.... |

I think a healthy creeping thyme plant would cover at least one square foot if not a little more..... We have yellow moneywort/creeping Jenny as a ground cover in our shadier places. It goes wild but it's easy to pull out where you don't want it. |

I agree that creeping jenny is fabulous erosion control, but I'm not sure how much really hot sun it will take. I like it because it grows so flat to the ground. |
