I am in zone 8 in SC and they are not hardy here, so in the house they go or buy new ones for next year. Linda B from SC

Hi I live in Zone 8 outside of Belfast. I have a perennial Fuschia that I have had for 6 years now. My Father in law gave I to me when he seperated his big bush. Its flower is hot pink on the outside with a purple middle, I dont know the actual name. The first season it looked really sad with yellowing leaves and drooping. I thought I killed it, until March the next spring where it started sprouting greenery. It thrives all spring and summer I have it in the ground and have never had to protect it from our winters yet.

I find it helps it when I add some bone meal around the base of the roots when it starts to show some green in March. A little manure doesnt hurt either .

I hope this has helped you.
Good luck.
