I am thinking of relocating my 3 small clematis from the side of the shed where I don't think they are getting enough sun, to sort of under my giant pampas grasses where they will get full sun during the spring/summer and can climb through them. I don't cut back my pampas so I won't have to worry about incorrectly pruning the clematis. Will that be a good spot, or should I put them somewhere else? I have lots of other places I could put them. |

Hmmm. I don't know about that. Pampas can become ugly. You might want to cut it back one day. How about behind them? Clematis likes its feet in the shade and its head in the sun. |

Thanks Witt ![]() I started leaning toward putting somewhere else too- maybe I'll plant some of the Cypress Vine seeds around the Pampas. They're annual so if I decide to cut back the grasses it won't matter ![]() Hmmm, now where to put the clematis, in the Chain link fence garden, build a trellis and put in the corner by the a/c condenser, put near the Beechwood rd porch... Well, I have 3, maybe I can put in each spot LOL!

Cypress vines will overtake those pampas and you won't even see them! Birds love the seeds, and they make LOTS of seeds. They'll be coming up in the cracks in the walls! |
