I keep backup cd's of all my photos, so if my computer crashes, I haven't lost them all. About once a year I make a cd of my "documents and settings" as a precaution. I have two hard drives in my computer, and keep copies of all my important stuff on both drives. |

Those are both great ideas! I learn new things all the time here. |

If you have the pics on 2 hard drives and even 2 CDs but keep them all at your home, it only takes 1 fire and they're all gone. Or a single theft. Or one hurricane or tornado or earthquake. I keep a set of CDs at work and one set at home. A fire, theft or flood at either won't wipe me out. |

I have some old pictures from my Grandfather Afred Gallagher that tell, in his words, an interesting story. the 1st picture is of my grandfather as a child with my great-grandmother, great-grandfather and my grandfathers sister. the 2nd picture is of the only photo he had of my Great-grandmothers relative(uncle or father it is still unknown). the 3rd is what my grandfather wrote of his memorys going to school on the reservation across the lake and where he lived during his school. the last photo is of my grandfather with his sisters (and the pet dog)and how they would get to school.
