This is my first year growing Cannas in pots. I'm in zone 9 and was wondering if I will have trouble overwintering? Suggestions, advice?

If you're scheduled to get a really cold snap I would take them in a shed or mulch around the pots.
I really don't think you would have to worry about them though.

Pink, Cannas in our part of the country are indestructible, unless the worms get them. I have even overwintered some in just a bucket of water. However!! If you have some really pretty and uncommon ones, you may want to mulch well, put on the south side of your house, against the house, and they should do fine. I cut off Most, but not all, of the dead/dying leaves.

Thanks aurora and Carolyn. Good to know. The pots aren't too heavy so if it does get really cold, I could drag them into my shed. I would prefer not and will do the mulch thing first, if necessary.
