Hi You Guys,

I'm so glad I found this site. There's a lot of good information here.

Allow me to introduce myself:

My name is Phoebe and I am an apartment-dwelling urban gardener with a little patch of dirt behind a Catholic girls school about a mile from where I live. (It used to be right across the street, but I've moved - but not too far.)

I've been gardening organically off & on since I was 8 years old. Because I am so connected to the earth (Taurus, you know), I need to play in the dirt fairly regularly.

Thanks for being here. I look forward to getting to know you.

FYI, as I mentioned in another thread, I'm hosting a free teleseminar at 11 am CDT (-5 GMT) next Tuesday (Sept. 30) on organic gardening. I have a very special guest who will share a lot of information and answer questions. Go to www.askFarmerPhoebe.com to sign up. Hope to "see" you then!

i was born and raised in urban chicago. after dealing with about 28 winters i moved to miami. then to austin. now i'm in central america. but i can always go for an italian beef sandwich (sweet, hot, and wet) and a cold old style. can't get any of that stuff here.

what kind of stuff are you growing in your garden?

Welcome FarmerPhoebe from another urban gardener. My "urb" is a bit smaller than your though LOL!

I have family in central IL so have been in your neck of the woods recently.

Enjoy your time here, and happy gardening!
