Being new to the south I'd like some advice on what I can put in my flower beds to provide some fall color. I need something to replace the begonias which were planted by the previous owner and are now dying off (think IKE may have accelerated their demise). Would like to stay with a red color scheme, any suggestions? Thanks y'all.

I'm partial to Indian Paintbrush. It should be pretty happy in your climate. I wouldn't be surprised if it grows in reckless abundance down there.

Petunias, pansies, snapdragons (I think petunia is the only one with a true red), dianthus. All the local nurseries should be putting those out in a week or 2, if not already. They haven't yet in my town, but should soon.

Thanks for the suggestions Ladies. I will certainly try to look for these once the nurseries here are back to normal. I will let you know how it goes.
