i know they cant be overwintered in my area , but they are so pretty. my question is does anyone know how they would do in the house over winter ? i dont have alot of space but would like to try to keep a few of the plants for next year |

I have found that the Cuphea roots well in water. I intend to take cuttings root them and then pot them in regular potting soil. These will be in the house until spring. My neighbor and I found out that they will come back for us if we mulch them down well. I have four varieties. Your lavender looks darker than the one I have. It is really pretty. Linda B from SC |

did not know they would root in water.... will be getting me some starts today to try out , im going to leave 4 out there and move them in diffrent places and try to mulch them and hope they make it thru the winter but taking two others in ,along with some cutting,lol. thanks Attachments: ![]() |
