Hi, I just got a corn plant that is 2-3 ft. high and a cataractarum palm. The tag on the palm says average hieght of 24 inches, but mine is 4-5 ft tall. Anyone have any advice? Thank you.

Also my peace lily hasn't bloomed in a long time, and it's looking sort of sad. It's leaves are browning and drooping. I think maybe I overwatered it.

I don't know about the corn plant, but I do know that the peace lily can be difficult. Overwatering will surely do it in, and underwatering will do the same. I kept mine for two years, but I finally lost it.

If you think you have overwatered a plant, here's what I would do:
Take it out of the pot and rinse all the potting soil off of the roots.
Trim off any rotten roots.
Make sure that water can adequately drain from the pot- drill more drain holes if necessary
Repot with new potting soil that is moist.
Don't water until soil is dry.

Hope that helps
I've done that with lots of plants, and they will usually bounce back fine
