mexican sunflower, Tithonia rotundifolia, is one of my favorite annuals. it grows quickly and flowers within a month or so of planting the seeds. the big bright orange and yellow flowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies better than any other flower i've seen.

if you're looking for a large, fast growing, flowering annual to attract wildlife to your garden, try them. you'll love them!

I have 4 patches of them this year- I really like them
Thankfully I had been saving seed for them since Tropical Storm Hannah knocked most of mine down

I have them, too sporadically through my beds. They're volunteers-Rate right up there with Sunflowers as far as a "HAPPY" flower!

I saw some beautiful tall ones this fall when I was driving by some gardens. I think I would like to grow some next year!
