I just love mine too! I'll be planting several more bunches next year. They started flowering right before father's day - so, early June. I know because I took some flowers to decorate our father's day buffet. And they look exactly the same now, three months later. Great plants.

Oh, I love mine too! Mine have just started blooming. They are always late bloomers for me, but that's one reason why I like them. They really brighten up my pooped out gardens this time of year.
I let them go to seed and they pop up wherever. The friend that gave my start years ago didn't even know that they bloomed because he always was eating them! Now that he's learned to leave one alone long enough to flower and set seed, he has plenty to eat!

Same here ~ mine are just blooming now. And I will have plenty of seed if anyone wants some.

When you plant the seed, do you plant it in bunches, like the chives grow in bunches?? Or do you have single plants that turn into bunches?

Probably a silly question...... I usually buy my garden plants as plants! There's only a few things I normally grow from seed.

If you plant a seed or two, it will become a small clump over the years. I would start by planting a little group to get that effect sooner, if that is what you are going or.

Cool, thanks. The weather's been quite cool this week and I notice my flowers fading finally. Seeds soon!

Oh, yes. They are very showy, especially at this time of year. Mine volunteer everywhere, and I let them stay where they like it, most of the time.
