That happened to my business partner when I gave him some Spearmint at the beginning of the summer. He kept it in a cup of water and added some to his iced tea every day. Then it rooted and he planted it. It's the gift that keeps on giving!

Instead of using the wine bottle for a pot, why not use it to make bath oil? Just fill the bottle with whatever kind of mint you want and fill the rest with olive or sunflower oil, then let it sit for a month. You can also use it for massage oil.

I brought some mint sprigs in the house and stuck them in water and under the plant on the white surface are tiny black spots. Are those the seeds? There's no flowers on the sprigs, but I know other things don't produce seed where they flower necessarily.

Well, I'm wondering if they aren't eventually caterpillars since I found one crawling on the plant in my kitchen window today! lol Just what I need. They're just black dots smaller than a pinhead. I don't even know if the camera would pick them up well enough to see them.
