msmeg Joined: 5/07/2008 Location: Missouri Posts: 37	Posted: Sep/02/2008 10:59 AM PST You can start from seeds but it will take years. 1 yr roots will take about 2 or 3 years so if you can afford the larger 2 or 3 yr roots it will be much faster. The better the soil the better results you will have.. We have heavy clay so I made raised beds for mine. It was a bit of work that first year but now we just weed and pick and every fall I put compost on the bed after I cut the old ones down after it all turns brown. Quote \| Reply \| Report

Posts: 201	Posted: Sep/02/2008 1:43 PM PST Hi, I planted a few 2-3 yr. old plants about 3 yrs. ago and they have'nt done anything, I weed often and add compost yearly but nothing, zelch, nada, is there someting else I need to do?
