In March I bought/buy my roses at Big Lots and now Aldis, bought one at Lowes.
I only buy bear root except for the 3 I bought with a friend at a big discount.
I buy roses that need hours of attention per week I love being needed and rewarded with the sweet full scents! Almost all of roses are from Texas.

What are you looking for?

Color/ scent/ blooms/height/look??
What kind of soil do you have/Full Sun/ How much time do you want to spend working with them?

Happy Rose Hunting...

I won't do J&P anymore. The company was sold this past spring and it was a mess. I do adore Heirloom roses though, 5/8 of my roses are from them. I decided to add another perennial bed on the south yard, at the top of the hill and will be ordering 6 more Jude the Obscure, when he blooms, the smell is intoxicating. If I don't pay close attention, the boys steal them for their girlfriends

Thanks for the replies
Not sure what I want- the area gets mostly sun, shaded in the late afternoon.
At least I have all winter to decide

Take your time and ck out any catalogs you can get your hands on sit in the library after you get several rose books from the shelf, take notes, take a stroll thru your nurseries if you can, walk through your neighborhood to see + smell blooms and if you like them (not sure how one can't love the smell of any rose!) try to find out what they are..
You have a nice plan so far. Hi noon on roses is a bit tough on roses so the spot you are thinking of may suit them fine.Don't forget the water supply..
Here are a few of mine.If any make you drop your jaw let me know

My New added love for this year is Double Delight.Josephs coat will thrill me next year.He was nearly hopeless when I bought him but he is coming around did several blooms but nothing like the pics, so Ill give him another season to show off his handsome bloomsI had no idea she was so beautiful, the photographers really need toge their act together and learn how to take pics of roses! I only bought it because I needed to tie my rose colors together and she has the correct colors to do so.

Make certain you have good drainage and a little protection from the winds.

Happy Rose Hunting.

At first I bought a lot of mine at a nursery. Then I started to buy 'em at home depot.

I like bareroot roses. I've only seen 'em at home depot but I'm sure they sell them at other places.

PS. I didn't know big lots sells them.

Kale- I'll be installing a drip system in the new beds, so irrigation won't be an issue.
I tried to open your link to your roses, but I got a server not found error There were no spaces in the URL, I checked.
