Help, I live in zone 9 if not 9A. I need advice on what typw of vine would grow goon in this zone. Requirements: 1 - Has flowers, different colors. 2 - climbing type, I don't want to have to go out and tie it to fence. 3 - water, no issue. I have drip installed. 4 - fragrence, would like some but not overpowering.

I'll be planting them along 300' of chain link fence.

Any help you can provice I would be thankful for.

I don't know a lot about vines, but the Carolina jasmine is quite hardy. It has yellow flowers and a lovely fragrance. You might have to poke it through the fence a little at first to get it started, but after that they will pretty much take care of themselves.

I agree with Witt- carolina jasmine, or a NATIVE honeysuckle- they have pink, red, white blooms.

Thought of these last night when I went to bed:
For evergreen- native honeysuckles, jasmines
Depending on your zone- native and tropical passion flowers, Dutchman's pipes may stay evergreen
deciduos- Clematis, trumpet creeper, wisteria (native)
Can also use annuals to fill in until perennial vines get going- morning glory, moonflower, sweet pea, runner beans, etc.
Google "vines"- will get tons of ideas
