I'M TOLD SPIREA ARE EASY TO GROW. I HAVE BOUGHT 3 OF THEM AND I NEED TO GET THEM IN THE GROUND. I'M TOLD THEY DON'T REQUIRE MUCH WORK IN THE WAY OF PLANTING. ANY HINTS OR SUGGESTIONS?

I have a Shibori spirea that I planted back in the spring. It needed regular watering for about the first month or so, but once it started flowering it was just fine

They are pretty tough. They don't seem to require anything special. I have two big ones that have survived in this clay soil for ages, and two new ones that I rooted from them that are surviving quite well. They're pretty forgiving and pretty.

Treat them as you would any other newly planted plant. Keep them well watered until they are established. After that they don't need any special care.
