I'm not aware of any actual "natural" way to get rid of fleas...Way up here in Northern Michigan, we don't really have any. (There are ticks in the woods tho). When I lived further south in the state, the only thing that really worked was the stuff from the vet that you put on the back of the dog's neck. I don't know if fleas are sensitive to any natually occurring chemical. Maybe your Extension Service could help? |

Only thing I can think off offhand is flyspray for horses (perfectly safe for dogs too). It's pyrethrin based, and needs to be reapplied often. It won't kill the fleas, but will repel them. I always use Advantix on my dogs- kills fleas and ticks, repels mosquitos, lasts a month, and it WORKS!!! |
