I went to a sunflower maze today and I was able to pick a sunflower to bring home. Is there any way to plant it now that it's been cut??
TIA

I don't believe there is ant way to root a cut sunflower. Just fresh cut them and vase them and enjoy. Sunflowers are easy to grow from seed. Just ask my chipmunks. LOL

I love sunflowers. I planted a couple of varieties this year, and saved some seed from them to plant again next year.

Nice one Twiggy! I planted some at the beginning of August. They're just about to flower.

Thanks, Stereoman, here's another I grew this year. I planted them in various places around the yard to help draw polinators. I mostly have the fuzzy yellow ones blooming right now

You probably won't be able to root that one, but maybe you can get some seed from it and grow them next year. Or call the place and ask them what variety they are if you want that same kind.
Very pretty ones! The only one I have was planted by a bird in my flowerpot so I let it grow. My mom had one come up near her birdfeeders the same way. I think I'll plant so intentionally next year.
