Mostly juvenile cardinals. Hard to catch them in photo without the dog or cats wanting to attack!

I love to watch the old birds bring the little ones to the feeder and feed them.

Aren't they a lovely sight. What a bright spot! The only trouble that we are experiencing is that the feed is now sky-high!

I have a fondness for cardinals. They always come just before it gets dark to feed each evening, and I look forward to it everytime ! What a beautiful photo ! Take care, mitzilou

I have brown thrashers every year and last evening I watched them feeding their young. Also the sparrow family was on the roof of my shed with mom and dad trying to keep up with the young. Spring is a busy time of year isn't it?

The dang pigeons are back!! I counted 21 on my neighbor's house this morning. It's Peanut's job to run them off, and he does a good job of it-when he's outside! I wish I could depend on the kid next door to shoot just pigeons. That stopped several weeks ago, and I don't want to get it started again. I may invest in a sling shot!

Weird ~ I haven't seen a pigeon in years. Wonder why you have so many ~ is someone in the area raising them?

Pigeons are a LOT bigger than a dove. If you look at the picture again, the pigeons are on the ground, and there are 2 doves on the feeder. Doves are mostly brown with some white-pigeons are all kinds of colors-though there are some brown & white ones, too.
