A while back we had a storm go through and shortly after my garden was over run by powdery mildew. I noticed that one of my PUMPKIN plants was almost dead but it keeps coming back. Now I found at least 6 of these little guys growing. Are they pumpkins gone wrong from the mildew or could they be gords?

hmmm, they look suspiciously like butternut squash. Did you plant any butternut? Maybe you got the plants confused. They look so similar when small... |

Well, I know that I bought one of those 6 packs of started plants from a place here and the tag said pumpkin. Then again the company I bought from also mixed up alot of things this year. I bought the same thing as far as zucchini this year and 2 of the 6 pack were a different kind of zucchini. |

That can be a problem when buying started plants, especially those that are so similar looking before fruiting. Tags get lost, switched by other customers, etc... I had bought jalepenos, and 3 of them produced bell peppers LOL! |
